Washington: A video of a stranger taunting Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and his colleagues at Dulles International Airport in Washington has gone viral on social media.

Dar, who arrived in Washington on Thursday, is due to attend the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. The Minister of State will also meet with representatives of various financial institutions and countries during his stay in the United States.

In the viral video, a man can be heard abusing the finance minister, criticizing the situation in Pakistan because of Dar.

A man accompanying Dar called the person who had interrupted her.

It's unclear what the angry prankster's political leanings were, but PTI and PML-N supporters have been at odds since the ousting of PTI chairman Imran Khan in April.

There have been several clashes between supporters of the two parties abroad, including in London, where PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif currently resides.

Recently in London, PTI supporters arrested Junaid Safdar, son of PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz. But the politician's son handled the situation well.

Junaid told protesters they had the right to demonstrate, but also to make sure they stayed within their boundaries.
